An extremely intelligently scripted and technically brilliant film noir masterwork, riveting entertainment with an iconic theme tune, fantastic performances from Joseph Cotton and Orson Welles as the enigmatic, devilish Harry Lime, one of cinema's iconic characters (his introduction is spine tingling) amazing lighting and cinematography and a bitter, tragic tone that sticks with you.

Standout classic scenes are the famous sewer chase and "the cuckoo clock speech".
