This movie single handedly saved my opinion on film noir. I've come to realize that a film noir needs to be in black and white. The reason I don't like chinatown, L.A. confidential or blade runner is because they try to bring film noir into the world of color, which is not possible without taking away something from the darkness of the film noir genre.

The Third Man not only has a great plot, but has a WONDERFUL performance by Orson Welles. He only appears here and there, but when he does, his presence is felt.

The cinematography in this film is superb/ there is this shot at the end that just totally blows me away. it's one of the best shots i've ever scene in a film.
