Review of The Thing from Another World (1951) by Kevin N — 26 Sep 2014
A superior tale of science vs. military told against the backdrop of Alaska. Howard Hawks' only credit in this film is that of producer, but it's clear his influence, at the least, is all over it.
As the terror grows outside, the group inside must strive to put aside their differences for the sake of survival. Atmospheric, full of humor and, at times, truly chilling.
