Review of The Thing (2011) by Alastair M — 19 May 2012
Not as terrifying as the original 1982 film, this prequel serves as a good reminder that you can go a long way while making a movie as long as you have decent acting, a reasonable-enough script and some gruesome VFX.
Although some people claim it's part of a trilogy (this being the third version), to me it's a less thrilling, more CGI dependant and very basic introduction to the John Carpenter cult classic, according to today's horror standards.
