Review of The Thing (1982) by Jesse K — 20 Feb 2013
This movie blew me away. It has the perfect blend of suspense, tension, cinematography, smart dialogue, and of course, horror. The back-and-forth battle between excessive gore and building paranoia works perfectly.
The Thing is very underrated and often frowned upon by critics because it is a remake. But The Thing shocked and surprised me and has become my third favourite horror movie ever. The ONLY flaw that I can mention is the ending's abruptness.
Trust me, the VERY ending is brilliant but the final climax could have been drawn out more.
