Review of The Thing (1982) by Barf J — 18 Mar 2013
One of the best modern horror films. one of the best remakes (it actually improves on the original, without losing the source material and manages to say something new) and definitely one of Carpenters strongest films in his cannon.
A money loser when it first came out, but stays the test of time and is an absolute classic.
Great practical effects and gore and a riveting performance by the cast led by a sullen yet heroic Kurt Russel.
They dont make 'em like they used too.
