Review of The Thing (1982) by Shawn E — 20 May 2012
Impressive creature effects and excessive amounts of spectacular gore can't quite make up for lack of originality - Basically, it's Alien in the arctic. Still, there are some spectacular moments involving a truly jaw-dropping monster that make the movie worth a gander, despite it not being quite the horror masterpiece I was hoping for.
