Review of The Thing (1982) by Chase W — 03 Jul 2012
A remake of 1952s "Thing from Another World" (watch the original as well). The film conveys such a spooky, paranoid, isolated, cold environment. Scientists working in the Antarctic happen upon an ancient UFO.
When the life form is thawed, it uses its survival skills by taking over different available life forms. Suspicions arouse as to who is infected and decision must be made in order to save the entire world.
Intense stuff with some great special effects.
