I loved the plot twists and the character develoment is a lot better than the 2011 thing. The effects were more real looking, and the creatures more terrifying. Carpenter does an excellent job in his writing and the twists he works into the plot.
And he leaves a lot of mysteries to solve as well as true "genuine scares". A masterpiece. An utter classic.
