Review of The Thing (1982) by Stephen E — 10 Sep 2012
Time has certainly put a damper on the scares that "The Thing" is famous for having, but while it isn't entirely effective as a horror film, it still boasts a superlative cast, well-paced direction from John Carpenter and technically brilliant special effects, which are sure to repulse even the most unflinching of viewers.
"The Thing" doesn't really pull through when it comes to flat-out thrills, but it has a couple of moments that are sure to get the blood pumping.
