Review of The Thing (1982) by Rafa U — 22 Mar 2014
Partly because it's pretty clear from the beginning that the Thing is going to kill everyone in the station, there's not much actual fear or emotional investment in the Survival Horror plot. But the psychology of suspicion, isolation, madness, and trust are carried off really well here, and the monsters are as beautiful as the Antarctic scenery.
