Review of The Thing (1982) by Ken S — 03 Aug 2014
"The Thing" is so fantastic. The whole cast is great, and the story and effects are some of Carpenter's best work. If you are going to create a film with a ensemble cast, this is the way to do it without overlooking anyone and really developing (just enough) all the characters.
The film is suspenseful and exciting, and has a lot to offer anyone who likes horror or science fiction. It should be considered a classic, I've no idea why it was critically panned in it's day, because I think it is absolutely terrific.
