Review of The Thin Red Line (1998) by Kellen V — 24 Jun 2010
Terrence Malick proves why he is one of the greatest living directors. I never thought in a million years that I would see such a beautiful film dealing with war. You guys can have saving private ryan, I'll watch this.
I'm still waiting for the 5 hour directors cut that was supposed to have more screen time for Adrian Brody and Mickey Rourke who was cut out all together during editing. I believe this film features the finest performance in John Cusack's career.
Nick Nolte and Woody Harrelson do great jobs as well. If you have a couple of hours to kill check it out.
