Review of The Thin Red Line (1998) by Edwin T — 07 Jul 2010
This film was up against Saving Private Ryan, its just as good, This time we follow the war to the Pacfic where James Caviezel gives the performance of his life time. the stunning scenery and the whole meaning of this epic time is the reasons why this film is one of the greatist of its time.
It shows the struggle of the pacific, where most of the men died of neumonia, water diseases and dehydration not to mention being blown up every 5 minutes. It was the toughest battles in the war and the actors capture that essence and light brilliantly.
Sean Penn is thrilling as his character shows curage and struggle at the same time, John Cusack has a heroic moment as he destorys the Japanise bunkers so the American Army can fight throught the boundries of the fleet.
A turely remarkable film and deserved more credit than what it got, a must see if a True War film hero.
