Review of The Thin Red Line (1998) by Tom P — 09 Oct 2010
I revisited this war epic 10-years after I first watched it. It made no sense to me then. It makes no sense to me now. There are more big-name actors than you can shake an Entrenchment Tool at, yet I see nothing in the film that could attract so many stars.
The film is just a sprawling mess of partial character development, war action sequences and botanical documentary. I just don't get it.
