Review of The Thin Red Line (1998) by Andrew D — 25 May 2011
I've only seen it once, but feel like it deserves multiple viewings. The cinematography, score, and casting are as good as it gets. It's contemplative and powerful. It reminds me of Letters from Iwo Jima. I have a feeling this will be one of my favorite war films.
The second time around left me kind of cold. Love the cinematography and score but the characters and story are pretty uninvolving.
