Review of The Thin Red Line (1998) by Bugi P — 15 Aug 2011
The best movie ever made about the second world war. probably the best about war itself. forget the usual buzz and explosion-focused motion picture. this is a 'terrence malick', so it's a long, philosophical, deep voyage to the sense (or lack of it) of war and to the perception by the soldier.
the official soundtrack has the anthropological quality of a museum as well. simply one of my favorite movies ever.
