Review of The Thin Red Line (1998) by Richard F — 03 Sep 2011
My issue with this was its length. Where in its strength it takes time to build relationships and develop characters over the us-and-them method, its a slog to do it in one go without distraction or interuption, which inevitably I failed at.
It's only my second malick film, but I like it more than a new world, primerily because WWII is more my genre, but it came across more thoughtful. More pause for thought and the sounds of the film are rich.
