Review of The Thin Red Line (1998) by Sung H — 26 Sep 2011
I have probably seen all of the war movies that's ever made, even the documentaries about war movies. The thing about this movie is that it lingers in my head, for those questions that I know the answers to but I still question it today through this movie and the images that are burnt into my head.
Those moments of almost utter reckless pureness that no man can put in words quite like the visual slashing through your brain that this movie has done. The scars remain and it's scabbed over in my mind and I keep scratching it over and over and over again.
There are only few movies that I could say that had the same impact on me as this movie did and it was Krzysztof KieÅ>lowski's Trzy kolory: Bleu.
