Review of The Thin Red Line (1998) by John B — 18 Nov 2011
I watched this again recently and I have to say I think it is one of my favourite movies. there is hardly an aspect of the movie I don't like. The music photography, performances, the story ... Every time I watch it I discover new ideas and I feel different emotions. Strangely intense. The film has a three act structure: the lead up, a two day attack on a hill and then the aftermath.
A masterpiece.
