Review of The Thin Red Line (1998) by Bill M — 10 Apr 2012
Looks great, but someone should tell Terrence Malick to TURN THE FUCKING VOLUME UP FOR ONCE. Every one of his films are full of good looking, quiet speaking, poetic Americans.
He's a fantastic director but he should either start writing dialogue. or start directing other peoples scripts.
Another problem with the film, the two best actors in the film (George Clooney & John C Reilly) are only in it for about a minute each.
A waste of 3 hours of my life.
Would have been fantastic if he took the footage he filmed and used it to make hundreds of 3 minute music videos.
At least it's not as bad as the Tree Of Life.
