Review of The Thin Red Line (1998) by Mark A — 20 Jun 2014
A star-studded cast, and what otherwise should be one of the greatest WWII movies ever created falls short due to insufficient research on the setting, and forced drama elements that weren't the least bit necessary or relevant to the actual story and events that had occurred.
If you can look past the excess and inaccuracies as history buff, then there is plenty to enjoy here. It'll move you visually and emotionally, but Hollywood cliches hold it back from being all it could be.
