Review of The Thin Red Line (1998) by Ken K — 26 Jun 2014
Only combat veterans can truly understand the horror and absurdity of war. The Thin Red Line covers all the fear, loneliness, and finality of armed conflict. Mallick deftly maneuvers from the human side of terror and the ever present beauty that makes it's cameo throughout the chaos of battle.
TRL joins "Apocalypse Now", "Platoon", and "Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo" as one of the greatest testaments to war and the unexpected thought s and lush nature within. Do not miss it.
You will want to watch it again.
