Review of The Thin Man Goes Home (1944) by Patryk C — 12 Sep 2012
A strong position in the series, mostly due to a change of the environment - from the crowded and urban New York to a small town, where nothing exceptional never happens (of course until the Charles family shows up).
There is less drinking, or actually no drinking whatsoever (that's probably a good thing), and the whole mystery seems more intriguing than most of the previous ones. Than there is Nick's ongoing struggle, in order to prove to his father that he's more than just a regular detective.
A fine installment, with an international intrigue that changes the locals into ruthless gun-carrying bandits.
