Review of The Thin Man (1934) by Bob M — 16 Jun 2007
Nick and Nora Charles are what you hope your marriage will be like. I love the first four Thin Man movies. Nick and Nora carry a drink in every single scene as they solve crimes and drink to be witty. The droll banter is the key to this series.
William Powell is excellent and Myrna Loy plays bemusement better than any actor I can think of. This is a series you return to for the laughs and because the chemistry between Powell and Loy is sexy.
