I found this movie to be a decent adaptation of the novel by Cornelia Funke. Although I don't recall this movie making it to theatres it did not at all feel like a straight to DVD film. Entertaining and pleasent, all and all I think this 1:30 film is time well spent.
Fantasy and reality blend seemlessly in this film, and the setting in Italy is breathtaking.
