Review of The Theory of Everything (2014) by Matthew S — 28 Mar 2015
Aside from a brilliant performance by Redmayne, there really isn't much here. All the pretty digitized film style in the world fails to establish why these two people fell in love, any real insight into Hawking's work or the disease with which he has had to fight most of his life.
I've seen "Lifetime Channel" movies with more depth. This is a surface scratch on one of the world's most interesting scientists. Better to watch the Morris documentary which gives far better insight into both the theories and everything about Hawkings.
