Saw this the night after I rented Imitation Game. Although slightly better, I was still very disappointed in the movie. The only thing that kept my attention was the fact that I'm a fan of Hawking himself and was interested in the inconsistencies between the movie and the real life Hawking.

They surely sped up his deterioration and made his family life very bland and "normal." The families eccentricity was nearly absent in this film. Also, he has many students who help him with the mathematics in his theory, these students were non existent in this film.

ALSO, sorry, gotta say that there was ZERO chemistry between Hawking and Jane when they first met. What did she see in him? All he did was smile...he cracked more jokes in a wheel chair without a voice than when he could walk! What caught her eye when she first saw him? He behaved and was dressed just like all the rest.

Dude didn't even dance after he TOLD HER that she was going to the dance with him. WTH! They need to explain their "love story" more compellingly considering that is this movie's foundation.

..Obviously this isn't my type of movie? UGH :(.
