Review of The Theory of Everything (2014) by Nick C — 25 Aug 2015
Theory of everything is a movie that brilliantly depicts the life of Stephen Hawking. This film is really great, it's not perfect but it is really great. Eddie Redmayne is amazing as Stephen Hawking, this can not have been an easy role to do but Redymane is just so brilliant in this role and he definitely deserves his Oscar, although I'm not sure if he should have beaten Michael Keaton.
Felicity Jones is also fantastic, this film is actually more to do with her and had she given a bad performance she could have been a really hated character, but she is so brilliant and sympathetic. This film is fantastically directed, brilliantly written and gorgeously shot.
All the acting is great and it's a very emotional film. It has its problems, some scenes are a bit boring and also the middle act is not quite as good as the other two. However this is still a really good movie and one I do recommend.
B+.
