Review of The Theory of Everything (2014) by Daniel O — 12 Sep 2015
I found this film extremely drawn out and boring. it was a glimpse in to Stephen Hawking's personal life & seemingly captured his sense of humor, yet completely scanned over his extreme brilliance/genius! Eddie Redmayne in NO WAY deserved an Oscar for a role with ABSOLUTELY NO DEPTH.
he sat in the same way Stephen Hawking sits....a child could have done the exact same thing. the direction was full of nothing but time cuts & without knowing it, 30 years passed in the film with minimal mention of Hawkin's brilliant work.
The Academy should be ashamed for handing Mr. Redmayne an Oscar as well as him being ashamed for accepting the award.
