Review of The Theory of Everything (2014) by Mark M — 03 Sep 2016
If one is alive, there is hope. No better example than Professor Stephen Hawking to not giving up despite his debilitating Lou Gehrig's disease, but to go on being the world's most famous physicist.
Instead of throwing in the towel, he would devote his whole life to solving the theory of everything. No doubt Stephen found in Jane, their three beautiful kids, a supportive family, caring friends and last but not least his subscription of Penthouse magazine the courage and interests in life to face every day as a cripple and one dependent on people for everything from feeding to ablutions for the rest of his life.
Eddie Redmayne played Professor Hawkins brilliantly and one could see why he was the prohibitive Oscar winner, just as Daniel Day Lewis was the prohibitive winner for My Left Foot. It is interesting that while Professor Hawkins audaciously challenges God existence, he must acknowledge that we are all at God's mercy and predestination.
Just has he was predestined to be the most famous living physicist in the world suffering from Lou Gehrig's disease.
