Review of The Thaw (2009) by Valerie V — 17 Jan 2010
This was a surprisingly good horror film with a conscience...albeit a preachy one. Global warming thaws out a mammoth infected with a parasite that spreads to humans. More than that will give it away, but that should be enough to get you into things.
Val Kilmer continues his string of miserable performances. It just seems like he doesn't care anymore. However, the other actors are passable and decent special effects make for a fun take on "The Thing".
