Review of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006) by Don S — 10 Sep 2010
This is what I thought was missing from the 2003 film: the backstory. This is decent slasher stuff with lots of blood, gore and screaming young ladies. Brewster was good as the strong female lead. Ermey is fantastic again in a role he seems born to play.
I liked it enough, but feel if the backstory part (which doesn't take long to tell) was folded into the first movie, the overall effort would have been better than both of these movies individually.
