Certainly not as good as the original, not even as good as the 2003 remake, The Beginning makes the absurd choice of making the story a prequel, answering questions that absolutely nobody was asking. It takes a while for Leatherface to really show up in this version, but in the meantime we get to look at Diora Baird who is one of sexiest actresses to ever be in a slasher movie.
