Review of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986) by Jose Gabriel R — 29 Mar 2013
An amazing underrated follow-up to the original that uses heavy amounts of gore and hilarious black humor, all mixed up with the 80's excess and the right touch of cheesiness. It's very different from the original film, yet it feels like its true companion.
The film's strength mostly relies on the actors (especially Dennis Hopper and Bill Moseley, who plays the film's most hilarious and memorable character: Chop-Top), the humor and the creative (and fun) use of gore.
It's great, cheesy and so much fun. Can anybody really resist a chainsaw battle?
