Review of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (1986) by Umair L — 24 Nov 2007
In a complete 180 from the original's serious and stout tone, this film packs on the laughs as one of the most hilarious horror-comedy films you will see. While not for everyone, this movie doesn't take itself seriously.
In my opinion, with Dennis Hopper as the man protagonist how can you go wrong? Of course some of the characters from the original are back, such as Leatherface of course, and Bill Moseley as Chop Top, and Jim Siedow as "The Cook".
A good addition to the series as it shows some originality and with Tom Savini doing the makeup and special effects you know you will get some great gore, especially on the Unrated version. 3 stars, worth checking out if you are a fan of horror, comedy, or both!
