It was like nothing I had ever seen before. To a kid, it appeared to be a dirty, scary grown up world. Time travel and sci fi being rejuvenated in this fresh story. The brutal future brought to our door step.
Arnold making his big hit on the movie industry with a perfectly robotic role; his sheer bulk alone enough to scare most of us, at that time. The machines relentless efforts make for scary watching, without getting bored.
Great stuff. Worthy of cult status.
