Review of The Terminator (1984) by Philip L — 25 Jun 2015
'The Terminator', the original before he came back good. Raw Schwarzenegger, raw Cameron. This is one long chase movie that has the slow reveal - who's good, who's bad - early on it's not clear.
Based on a Twilight Zone story this is a thought provoking '80s action flick. I have seen it on the big screen but it works best on VHS on an old style TV. The blurriness disguises the somewhat dated stop motion and life model puppetry.
'Nice night for a walk?' it was certainly that as well as a nice night for a run, motorbike and exploding articulated lorry.
