Review of The Terminator (1984) by Marco P — 16 Dec 2015
Just saw this in full for the first time; this is why 80s action movies were so fun to watch. The original Terminator is a gem of an action film that now plays like art house. The plot was inventive but not yet as convoluted as its sequels.
If the film were kept as standalone, Terminator Salvation would have made a good spin off. The repeated jabs at time travel in the sequels just made it more confusing, if indeed Reese's mission in this original film were accomplished.
