Review of The Terminal (2004) by Rajeev J — 13 Nov 2012
Tom Hanks, with his heartwarming performance, makes The Terminal a smooth take-off. Give any genre to Steven Spielberg & he'll still surprise you & that's what he did with this romantic comedy too.
Smartly directed with Spielberg by greatly balancing the humor & other elements of this film with an innocent romance, nicely captured in its wonderful cinematography, superbly performed by Tom Hanks & really good chipped in performances by the supporting cast, & even though the second half is less impressive than the first, The Terminal is a sweet, gently made, heartwarming tale of American dream, innocence, compassion & love, crafted with genuine care.
