Review of The Terminal (2004) by Sini N — 31 Mar 2013
Now, I don't watch many Tom Hanks flicks, nor do I think about him much, but seriously, he was awesome and immensely adorable in this movie. I loved his character...he was caring, meek, patient, diligent, overcoming, he always chose good over compromising or doing wrong, was loyal, especially to his father and airport mates.
He was a very admirable character. I felt so deeply for him and rooted for him. Catherine's character, on the other hand, was a tad loathsome. More that a tad. She was causing a man to cheat on his wife, and also had some major major character flaws that never improved.
She seemed very broken and hurt, so I probably should have been more caring for her, but I just did not want her to hurt Tom's sweet character, so I grew protective of him, you know. Anyway, it was a lovely movie just because of Tom.
Also I liked how all the side characters rooted for him toward the end in the face of his adversity.
