Review of The Terminal (2004) by Dov D — 14 Oct 2013
Directed by legendary auteur Steven Spielberg and staring arguably the greatest actor of all time Tom Hanks, I expected much more than what I watched from The Terminal. The story was scattered in far too many different directions and failed to emphasize which aspects were important properly.
Despite this, the performance Tom Hanks delivered is one of the finest I have ever seen. He played the role of Viktor Navorski so convincingly that I found myself lost in his character. His performance made this movie.
Other than Hanks, the acting was pretty solid overall with well written dialogue. The humor was subtle and well placed throughout and the emotion seemed genuine. Bottom line, this is quite an entertaining film that most people won't regret watching, but it could've been so much more.
