Review of The Tenant (1976) by Shahriar A — 23 Jan 2011
There is no one that deals with sexual repression, loneliness and psychosis quite like Polanski. And that is also evident in this powerful film. Not quite the fantastic watch like Repulsion, which works in similar territory, but still absorbing enough to make you squirm and shudder once a while.
Ths film is usually less talked about compared to his other films like Repulsion and Rosemary's Baby, which is a shame, because on its own, its fantastic actually.
