Review of The Tenant (1976) by Nick — 19 Jul 2008
This is the scariest movie ever. It is dark and funny, a bit like Kafka combined with the Monty Pythons. If the film absorbs you, it is almost unwatchable. I still have nightmares with chopped heads, dancing like balls outside my window, or people just staring at me.
The feeling of the neighbourhood expecting Trelkovsky to kill himself is still as much nightmarish as real.
