Review of The Tattooist (2007) by Veronica B — 28 Jul 2008
I didn't like this movie. Period. There were some good stuff in it, but overall it was just blah. Jason Behr, is not only gorgeous, but seriously underrated! One of the most underrated actors out there.
He gives an outstanding performance here, really natural and believable. I also liked here the special effects, the ghost on the mirrors, the way he shows himself by the end of the movie, it was actually very well-done.
The art work of the tattoos was impressive, they looked beautiful. My problem with this movie is that I just didn't like it. I didn't feel drawn to it or amusement of any kind. I did not enjoy it in any way whatsoever except the beginning where the dad is cutting his son's flesh (and then he's grown and Jason was naked in front of the window and all the other scenes were he was shirtless, lol).
Yes, it was original and yes there was good development, and a great soundtrack, but I just didn't like it.
