Review of The Tao of Steve (2000) by Bruce H — 30 Jul 2012
I've got a soft spot for this one. Logue's likable womanizer has just enough pathos to save the movie from careening into a celebration of everything the film is ultimately against. Greer Goodman is overmatched here and the opening title sequence was outdated when the film premiered.
But the witty script and the underlying honoring of real goodness and moral excellence keep this one fresh, even on repeat viewings.
