Review of The Tall Man (2012) by Niels S — 25 Aug 2012
From Pascal Laugier, the director of Martyrs, comes this little gem. Despite the fact that the "twist" is a bit predictable, it carries a strong message against children growing up in poverty.
Like Martyrs, the movie kind of shifts gears around the midway point and becomes a whole new genre altogether. Laugier is quickly becoming one of my favorite directors due to his cinematography and his depictions of pain on film.
A psuedo-horror flick that's definitely worth a watch.
