(2012) the Tall Man.

MYSTERY THRILLER.

Written and directed by Pascal Laugier, the guy who made the controversial French movie "Martyr" in which his story structure is like other films he has done which what we see from the beginning may not be what it really appears to be, for this movie can also be defined as controversial as well since the intent is totally different than what one would expect. "The Tall Man" as the movie is called is supposed to be an another urban legend created by the townspeople, a figure who's known to abduct many underage children with the FBI acting totally useless which the only community "the Tall Man" strikes at only occur in small towns. His only description is a tall man who wears a dark hat wearing a long raincoat. Jessica Biel plays Julia Denning a respected care nurse who lives with another female taking care of what is first assumed is her actual son. The movie garners much of the viewers fascination toward it's irony and somewhat baffling surprises which aforementioned that things may not be what it appears to be- placing the supposedly 'good ending' and the result for debate.

2.5 out of 4 stars.
