Review of The Talk of the Town (1942) by Joel A — 29 Mar 2010
I found this film really enjoyable, acting was good with all 3 leads, the standout to me was Cary Grant & Jean Arthur. At first it was one of those films where your like 'just pick a genre', but once the film got going it was a comedy/drama and it was done well.
All aspects of the film where done well, the comedy worked and serious scenes you could take seriously. George Stevens directed the film well it didn't get to carried away. A good classic film that is universal and will appeal to modern audiences...
