Review of The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999) by Jesper K — 28 Aug 2009
Great script (from a novel) great acting and enchanting landscapes. The talented Mr Ripley is greatly portraited by Matt Damon who showed me that he is an actor of versatility. A sociopathic underachiever who tangles up himself in a web of lies, though you can't help to pitty him.
It's not often that feel such compassion for the "bad guy". Impressive supporting actors in form of Philip Seymour Hoffman and Cate Blanchett. A powerful film.
